The Regional workshop for the Arab States was held from 1 to 3 October 2024 in Doha, Qatar and provided an occasion to examine the concept of Universal and Meaningful Connectivity (UMC) and how to streamline it in national digital policies, how to improve the statistical capacity of countries in the region to produce and disseminate relevant statistical data, and how to use the data to identify good practices and policy recommendations. This workshop was organized by the ITU in collaboration with the of the State of Qatar and with the financial support of the European Commission.

The workshop covered the following topics:

Embracing universal and meaningful connectivity: The new policy imperative (day 1)
Data-driven decision making: Enhancing statistician-policymaker collaboration (day 2)
Tracking UMC: Strategies for overcoming measurement challenges (day 3)

Registration information

Unless specified otherwise, all 麻豆社视频 training courses are open to all interested professionals, irrespective of their race, ethnicity, age, gender, religion, economic status and other diverse backgrounds. We strongly encourage registrations from female participants, and participants from developing countries. This includes least developed countries, small island developing states and landlocked developing countries.
